We are seeking a dependable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a welcoming educational setting in Derbyshire. Rated Good by Ofsted, the school takes great pride in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and encouraging environment for all pupils and staff. This position is ideal for an experienced candidate seeking a consistent, term-time-only role during the late afternoon.
Key Responsibilities
Clean classrooms, hallways, staff offices, washrooms, and shared communal areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the site.
Empty rubbish bins and restock essential washroom and cleaning supplies.
Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures, including COSHH guidelines.
Report any site damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards directly to the premises team.
Work effectively both independently and alongside the wider site support team.
Candidates should ideally bring prior cleaning experience from a school, commercial, or office environment. You will need a strong eye for detail, reliable time-management skills, and a professional approach to your work. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is required, or a willingness to undergo a new check upon appointment.
