Key Responsibilities
Strategic SEND Leadership: Drive and evaluate the school’s SEND and inclusion strategies in full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (0–25), KCSIE, and local authority frameworks.
EHCP & Provision Management: Oversee statutory EHCP applications, lead annual reviews, design targeted provision maps, and measure the impact of small-group and one-to-one interventions.
Multi-Agency Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external agencies, including Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), Occupational Therapists (OT), CAMHS, and Newham SEN Advisory Services.
Staff Coaching & Quality First Teaching: Model inclusive classroom strategies, coach teaching staff on adaptive learning techniques, and deliver high-impact CPD across EYFS–KS2.
Family Engagement: Build transparent, trust-based relationships with parents and carers, ensuring they are active partners in their child’s progress and review meetings.
