Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join their successful school in Peterborough from January 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist Biology teacher who is passionate about their subject and keen to encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of the living world, human biology and the scientific processes that underpin modern life.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Biology lessons across the relevant key stages, supporting students as they develop their knowledge of topics such as cell biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, human physiology and the organisation of living organisms. The school is looking for someone who can combine strong theoretical teaching with practical investigations, ensuring students understand both the scientific concepts and the methods used to explore them.

You will be expected to plan and deliver well-structured lessons, differentiate learning activities to meet students' individual needs and regularly assess progress. Supporting students with examination preparation will also be an important part of the role, including developing revision strategies, improving examination technique and ensuring pupils can confidently apply their knowledge to unfamiliar questions.

The successful applicant will become part of an established Science department where colleagues work collaboratively to share resources, review curriculum content and improve student outcomes. Experience and Qualifications:

• Biology Teacher with the ability to teach Biology across KS3 and KS4.

• Ability to teach A-Level Biology would be advantageous.

• Strong subject knowledge across biological sciences and practical investigations.

• Experience preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations.

• A formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE.

• Experienced teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply.
