Our client is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join their school in Bedford from January 2027. This is a wonderful opportunity for a creative teacher who is passionate about developing students' musical abilities and encouraging participation in a subject that offers so many opportunities for personal expression and confidence building.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering a broad and varied curriculum that incorporates practical performance, composition, listening and theoretical understanding. You will be responsible for planning lessons that allow students to explore different genres and musical traditions, develop their technical abilities and understand how music can communicate ideas and emotions. The ability to deliver practical lessons and encourage students to participate actively in musical activities will be particularly important.

The school is looking for someone who can create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that students with previous musical experience and those new to the subject can make meaningful progress. You will need to demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management and the ability to assess students' development across both practical and written components of the curriculum.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Music Teacher with the ability to teach Music across KS3 and KS4.

• Strong knowledge of performance, composition and music theory.

• Ability to deliver practical and theoretical lessons to students of different abilities.

• A formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE.

• Experience supporting musical performances or extracurricular activities would be advantageous.
