About the Role

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting students' welfare, health and emotional wellbeing. Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and families, you will help identify concerns, provide appropriate support and ensure students feel safe and able to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day pastoral care and welfare support to students.

• Monitor student wellbeing, attendance and punctuality.

• Respond to welfare concerns and escalate safeguarding issues appropriately.

• Maintain accurate records and communicate with relevant staff and families.

• Support students experiencing personal, emotional or social difficulties.

• Help promote a positive, inclusive and supportive school environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience in a welfare, pastoral or student support role.

• Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

• Demonstrates empathy, patience and excellent communication skills.

• Can handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

• Is organised, approachable and confident working with young people.
