A community primary academy in Kempston is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to provide classroom cover as soon as possible. The school requires an adaptable practitioner who can support pupils through an important stage of Key Stage 1 and maintain progress across the core curriculum.
The Role
Take responsibility for a Year 2 class.
Deliver English, mathematics and the wider primary curriculum.
Develop reading fluency, writing and number confidence.
Prepare pupils for relevant end-of-Key-Stage assessments.
Monitor progress and provide appropriate support and challenge.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has primary teaching experience, ideally within Key Stage 1.
Understands phonics, early reading and assessment expectations.
Can establish positive classroom routines.
Is available to begin immediately.
The Environment
The academy has a supportive Key Stage 1 team and established curriculum resources. The successful teacher will work alongside teaching assistants and colleagues to maintain continuity and ensure pupils receive consistent support.
