A nurturing primary school in Harpenden is seeking a Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team in January 2027. The school is looking for a teacher who understands early childhood development and can create a stimulating environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn.
The Role
Lead a Reception class and deliver the EYFS framework.
Plan purposeful play-based and adult-led learning activities.
Develop early communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
Observe, assess and record children's development.
Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience in Early Years or a strong understanding of the EYFS.
Can plan engaging activities that support different stages of development.
Creates a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom.
Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
