A secondary academy in Huntingdon is looking to recruit a motivated PE Teacher to join its department immediately. The school is committed to promoting physical activity, teamwork and positive sporting values through its curriculum and extracurricular programme.

The Role

  • Teach PE across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver practical lessons across a range of sports and activities.

  • Develop students’ physical skills, tactical awareness and teamwork.

  • Teach relevant theory content where required.

  • Support extracurricular clubs, fixtures and sporting events.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong PE subject knowledge.

  • Can organise safe, inclusive and purposeful practical lessons.

  • Encourages participation, resilience and fair play.

  • Is enthusiastic about contributing to school sport.

The Environment

The academy provides a supportive PE department with an emphasis on student participation and wellbeing. Staff are encouraged to develop extracurricular opportunities and help students build confidence through physical activity.
