Role: Teacher of Spanish (KS3–KS4)
Location: Attleborough, Norfolk
Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Start Date: January 2027
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

A secondary academy in Attleborough is seeking a Spanish Teacher to provide maternity cover from January 2027. The successful candidate will join an established languages team and help students develop confidence in spoken and written Spanish.

The Role

  • Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4.

  • Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing.

  • Deliver lessons covering grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

  • Prepare GCSE groups for written and oral assessments.

  • Track progress and provide targeted feedback.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has excellent Spanish subject knowledge.

  • Can deliver structured and engaging language lessons.

  • Encourages participation and confident communication.

  • Can provide continuity throughout the maternity-cover period.

The Environment

The academy has an established languages department that values collaboration and consistent teaching practice. The successful teacher will have access to shared resources and schemes of work to support a smooth transition into the role.
