An inclusive secondary academy in Leighton Buzzard is seeking an RE Teacher to join its humanities faculty at short notice. The school wants an engaging educator who can encourage thoughtful discussion, develop students’ understanding of different beliefs and support strong written evaluation.

The Role

  • Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4.

  • Cover world religions, philosophy and ethical issues.

  • Develop students’ ability to compare viewpoints and construct reasoned arguments.

  • Prepare students for written assessments and relevant examinations.

  • Work with colleagues to maintain consistent curriculum delivery.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong RE subject knowledge.

  • Can lead respectful discussions on complex topics.

  • Creates an inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.

  • Is available to begin at short notice.
