A thriving secondary school in Lewisham is seeking an organised Attendance and Admissions Officer to join its administrative team. The school is committed to maintaining high attendance standards and providing families with a smooth and professional admissions experience.

The Role

The successful candidate will divide their time between attendance administration and pupil admissions. Attendance duties will include monitoring daily registers, following up unexplained absences, contacting parents and carers and preparing attendance information for senior leaders. On the admissions side, you will process applications, maintain pupil records, respond to prospective parent enquiries and assist with the administration of new starters and student transfers. You will also ensure that relevant paperwork is completed accurately and stored appropriately.

Requirements

The school is looking for someone with previous administrative experience, ideally within a school environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, alongside confidence using databases and Microsoft Office. The ability to manage confidential information, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively with parents and external contacts is important.
