The Role

The successful candidate will work alongside Biology, Chemistry and Physics teachers, ensuring that laboratories are properly equipped and ready for practical lessons. Responsibilities will include preparing chemicals and materials, assembling experiment equipment, organising laboratory resources, monitoring stock and carrying out routine checks. You will also assist with maintaining equipment, keeping preparation areas tidy and ensuring that practical activities are organised in line with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

The school is seeking someone with a strong interest in science and an organised approach to their work. Previous experience in a laboratory or school technician position would be beneficial, although candidates with relevant scientific qualifications and practical experience will also be considered. Good attention to detail and an understanding of laboratory safety are essential.
