A welcoming secondary school in Felixstowe is looking to appoint a Geography Teacher to support its humanities department immediately. The school requires someone who can deliver well-structured lessons, maintain curriculum continuity and encourage students to develop an understanding of geographical processes and global issues.

The Role

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.

  • Cover physical geography, human geography and environmental topics.

  • Develop students’ map-reading, data interpretation and enquiry skills.

  • Support GCSE preparation through case studies and examination practice.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has secure knowledge of the secondary Geography curriculum.

  • Can make complex geographical concepts accessible.

  • Maintains effective classroom management.

  • Is available to begin at short notice.

The Environment

The school offers an established humanities department with shared teaching resources and supportive colleagues. The successful teacher will receive guidance on existing schemes of work and assessment expectations.
