Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A successful secondary academy in Maldon is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its expanding department in January 2027. The school is looking for an educator who can develop students’ confidence in reading, writing and literary analysis while delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum.
The Role
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.
Deliver lessons covering poetry, prose, drama and non-fiction.
Develop students’ analytical writing and examination skills.
Use assessment to identify learning gaps and plan targeted support.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has strong English subject knowledge.
Can deliver engaging lessons to students with varying abilities.
Establishes positive relationships and consistent classroom expectations.
Is committed to improving student progress and attainment.
