Wayman Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher for a specialist school setting, supporting a small group of pupils and working alongside the Lead Teacher. This is an opportunity for a teacher with previous SEN experience who is confident working in a challenging educational environment.

The School

The school is a specialist SEN setting supporting a very small class of just 4 pupils. The environment requires a patient, resilient and adaptable teacher who can provide structured learning and respond confidently to individual pupil needs.

The Role

  • Teach core subjects alongside one additional subject, depending on experience.

  • Support the Lead Teacher with the delivery of teaching and learning.

  • Adapt lessons and resources to meet individual learning needs.

  • Maintain a positive, structured and supportive classroom environment.

  • Manage challenging behaviour and respond appropriately to pupils' needs.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working within an SEN setting is essential.

  • Confident managing challenging behaviour and complex learning needs.

  • Able to adapt teaching approaches to suit individual pupils.

  • Patient, resilient and consistent in their approach.

  • A qualified teacher with the ability to teach core subjects and an additional subject.
