About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Psychology lessons, introducing students to key theories, research methods and psychological perspectives. You will encourage critical thinking, independent analysis and meaningful discussion while helping students apply psychological concepts to real-world situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons across KS4 and KS5.

• Teach topics including cognitive, biological, social and developmental psychology.

• Develop students' understanding of research methods and psychological studies.

• Encourage critical analysis, evaluation and independent thinking.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Prepare students for examinations through effective teaching and revision strategies.

• Maintain high classroom standards and contribute to departmental development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong subject knowledge in Psychology.

• Can explain psychological theories and concepts clearly.

• Demonstrates effective classroom management and communication skills.

• Is passionate about encouraging curiosity and academic achievement.
