Joining a collaborative, passionate department, you will deliver high-rigor practical lessons across Key Stage 3, alongside theoretical instruction across Key Stage 4 (GCSE PE / Cambridge National / BTEC Sport) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level PE / BTEC Level 3 Sport & Exercise Science), equipping young people with the physical competence, resilience, and leadership skills necessary for life.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver academically rich, physically engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 covering invasion games, athletics, gymnastics, outdoor activities, sports psychology, and exercise physiology.
Prepare examination candidates thoroughly for GCSE, A-Level, and vocational sports qualifications through structured theoretical lessons, practical moderation coaching, and data-driven progress tracking.
Lead, organize, and coach school sports teams across fixture schedules, regional competitions, and local East London inter-school leagues.
Track, evaluate, and monitor pupil progress systematically, implementing adaptive coaching strategies to stretch high-performing student-athletes while building confidence and fundamental movement skills in developing learners.
Contribute actively to extra-curricular enrichment, including morning/afternoon sports clubs, intra-mural tournaments, sports days, and health and fitness awareness campaigns.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.
A strong academic degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or a closely related discipline.
Proven track record or demonstrated capability of delivering outstanding PE instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5/A-Level PE teaching capability is highly desirable).
Thorough knowledge of national PE examination board specifications (e.g., Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Pearson BTEC) and sports coaching safety protocols.
Outstanding athletic presence, strong team-building skills, and an infectious enthusiasm for physical health, movement, and sporting values.
