A high-achieving primary academy in Flitwick is seeking a Year 6 Teacher to provide support to its final-year primary cohort immediately. The school requires someone who can deliver focused teaching, build examination confidence and ensure pupils are well prepared for their transition to secondary education.

The Role

• Class Leadership: Take responsibility for a Year 6 class and oversee daily teaching and learning.

• Core Curriculum: Deliver high-quality English and mathematics lessons alongside the wider curriculum.

• SATs Preparation: Support pupils with revision, assessment practice and examination confidence.

• Targeted Intervention: Identify learning gaps and deliver focused support to improve attainment.

• Transition Support: Help pupils develop the academic and personal skills needed for secondary school.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has experience teaching upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.

• Has a strong understanding of SATs expectations and assessment.

• Can motivate pupils and maintain high expectations.

• Is confident working with pupils, parents and colleagues.
