Are you an experienced MFL specialist who can deliver high-quality language teaching and encourage students to become confident independent communicators?

A well-established secondary school in Borehamwood is looking to appoint a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join its faculty immediately. The school welcomes applications from French and Spanish specialists who can support strong outcomes and contribute to the wider development of language provision.

The Role

  • Specialist Teaching: Deliver French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching.

  • Language Acquisition: Develop students' fluency, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary.

  • Examination Preparation: Support GCSE and A-Level learners with written and oral assessments where applicable.

  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to schemes of work, assessment planning and departmental resources.

  • Cultural Enrichment: Encourage participation in language events and activities that broaden students' understanding of other cultures.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has excellent knowledge of at least one modern foreign language.

  • Can deliver engaging lessons and encourage confident spoken communication.

  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Is available to begin at short notice.
