A secondary academy in Eye is seeking a committed Physical Education specialist to join its department in January 2027. The school is looking for someone who can deliver engaging practical lessons and contribute to an active extracurricular sports programme.

The Role

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach PE across KS3 and KS4, with potential examination-group responsibilities.

• Practical Teaching: Deliver a range of sporting activities, developing technical ability and tactical awareness.

• Theory Provision: Teach relevant examination content, including anatomy, fitness and the principles of training where required.

• Sports Enrichment: Support extracurricular clubs, fixtures and inter-school competitions.

• Student Development: Promote teamwork, resilience, positive sporting behaviour and participation.

The Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong PE subject knowledge and practical teaching experience.

• Can organise safe, inclusive and purposeful sporting activities.

• Encourages students of different abilities to participate.

• Is keen to contribute to the wider sporting life of the academy.
