Are you a passionate Geography Teacher who can bring global issues, environmental challenges and geographical processes to life?

A welcoming secondary academy in North Walsham is looking to appoint a Geography specialist to support its humanities faculty immediately. The school requires a confident teacher who can provide continuity across the curriculum and maintain strong standards of teaching and learning.

The Role

  • Classroom Teaching: Deliver Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering physical and human geography.

  • Geographical Enquiry: Develop students' understanding of fieldwork, map interpretation, data analysis and geographical research.

  • GCSE Support: Prepare examination groups through structured revision, case studies and examination practice.

  • Curriculum Planning: Adapt existing schemes of work to meet the needs of different classes.

  • Student Progress: Monitor attainment and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum.

  • Can make geographical concepts accessible through relevant examples and case studies.

  • Is confident managing a range of classroom abilities.

  • Can take up a new teaching commitment at short notice.

The Environment

The school has an established humanities faculty that values collaboration and consistent classroom practice. The successful candidate will have access to departmental resources and support from experienced colleagues throughout the assignment.
