An Outstanding secondary school in Bromley is looking to appoint a motivated Science Technician to join its established Science Department. The school has a strong academic focus and provides well-equipped laboratories, modern teaching facilities and a supportive environment for both staff and pupils.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide practical support across the Biology, Chemistry and Physics departments, ensuring teachers have the equipment and resources required for effective lessons. Responsibilities will include preparing experiments, setting up laboratory equipment, organising chemicals and materials, monitoring stock levels and maintaining a clean and orderly working environment. You will also assist with routine equipment checks and ensure that practical activities are prepared in accordance with relevant health and safety procedures.

Requirements

The school is seeking someone with a genuine interest in science and strong organisational skills. Previous experience in a laboratory, school or technical support environment would be beneficial. A good understanding of laboratory safety, attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential.
