A secondary school in Enfield is looking for an English Teacher who can bring literature and language to life. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building pupils’ confidence in reading, writing and expressing their ideas.

About the Role

You will teach English across KS3 and KS4, covering language and literature. You’ll plan purposeful lessons, support pupils with analytical and written skills, assess progress and prepare classes for GCSE examinations.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to department planning and develop engaging learning resources.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong English Language and Literature subject knowledge

  • Secondary teaching experience

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management

  • A positive, organised approach and the ability to motivate pupils
