Our client is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their thriving secondary school in Colchester from January. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and can deliver engaging lessons that challenge pupils, build confidence and support strong academic progress.

The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, planning and delivering lessons that develop pupils' understanding of key mathematical concepts, numerical fluency and problem-solving skills. The school is looking for someone who can make Mathematics accessible to pupils of different abilities while maintaining high expectations and encouraging independent thinking.

The successful candidate will become part of a well-established Mathematics department that benefits from excellent resources, collaborative planning and a supportive Head of Department. The team is committed to developing pupils' mathematical skills and preparing them effectively for their GCSE examinations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to departmental resources, intervention programmes and wider curriculum development.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Maths Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Mathematics curriculum

• Formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE)

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

• Experience supporting pupils with GCSE preparation and intervention

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Legal right to work in the UK
