An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Peterborough from January. Our client is seeking a committed practitioner who can bring energy, creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom while helping pupils develop their musical knowledge and performance abilities.

The successful Music Teacher will be expected to teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering a varied curriculum that incorporates practical performance, composition, listening and musical appreciation. The school is looking for someone who can make lessons engaging and accessible, encouraging pupils to develop their confidence whether they are experienced musicians or just beginning to explore the subject.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive department with access to musical instruments, teaching resources and specialist facilities. The Head of Department is keen to appoint someone who can contribute fresh ideas, encourage participation and help maintain the department's positive reputation.

This position would suit an experienced Music Teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to develop within a supportive school. Overseas-trained teachers with an appropriate formal teaching qualification are also encouraged to apply.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Music Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• Strong knowledge of musical performance, composition and theory

• Formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE)

• Ability to deliver practical and engaging Music lessons

• Confidence encouraging pupils of different musical abilities

• Legal right to work in the UK
