Teaching Levels: KS3–KS5
About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will deliver engaging DT lessons that combine theoretical knowledge with practical projects. You will help students develop their creativity, technical understanding and problem-solving abilities while ensuring a safe and productive classroom and workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching where appropriate.
Teach design principles, material properties, manufacturing techniques and practical skills.
Develop projects that encourage creativity, independent thinking and problem-solving.
Assess students' work and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure workshop activities follow health and safety procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and departmental success.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
Can deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
Demonstrates effective classroom management and a commitment to student progress.
Is organised, creative and confident in maintaining a safe learning environment.
