About the Role

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will turn abstract numerical concepts, algebraic reasoning, geometric proofs, and statistical modeling into accessible, high-rigor learning. Joining a highly collaborative and data-literate department, you will deliver compelling lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE Mathematics / Further Maths), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Mathematics / Further Maths / Core Maths), equipping young minds with the logical reasoning and quantitative fluency crucial for success in STEM, finance, and digital technology disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver academically rich, engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 covering number theory, algebra, geometry, statistics, and mechanics.

• Prepare GCSE and A-Level candidates thoroughly for national written examinations through live modeling of problem-solving techniques, data-driven progress tracking, and targeted exam revision workshops.

• Foster a growth-mindset classroom environment where mathematical curiosity is celebrated, conceptual understanding is prioritized, and reasoning resilience is developed.

• Track, evaluate, and monitor student progress systematically, implementing tailored intervention strategies to stretch high-aspiring mathematicians while scaffolding core concepts for developing learners.

• Contribute positively to department enrichment, such as UKMT Maths Challenge coaching, STEM clubs, chess circles, and university STEP/MAT preparation sessions.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.

• A strong academic degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related quantitative field.

• Proven track record or demonstrated capability of delivering outstanding Mathematics instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5/A-Level Mathematics teaching experience is highly desirable).

• Thorough knowledge of national Mathematics examination board specifications (e.g., Edexcel, AQA, OCR) and mastery teaching methodologies.

• Outstanding classroom presence, exceptional logical communication skills, and an infectious enthusiasm for mathematical inquiry and real-world problem-solving.
