About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside the school's safeguarding team to ensure concerns are recorded, monitored and referred appropriately. You will provide administrative and practical support, helping staff respond effectively to safeguarding matters and ensuring pupils receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recording and monitoring safeguarding concerns.

• Maintain accurate, confidential pupil records and safeguarding documentation.

• Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead with referrals, follow-ups and case administration.

• Liaise professionally with school staff, parents and external agencies where required.

• Help ensure safeguarding procedures and policies are followed consistently.

• Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

• Support the promotion of pupil welfare and a safe school environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience in safeguarding, pastoral support, school administration or a related role.

• Understands the importance of child protection, confidentiality and accurate record-keeping.

• Demonstrates excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Can manage sensitive information and competing priorities effectively.

• Is proactive, reliable and committed to protecting children and young people.
