About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and analytical thinking. You will create a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, investigate ideas and apply their understanding to real-world situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching where appropriate.

• Develop students' understanding through practical experiments, demonstrations and classroom discussion.

• Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles.

• Maintain positive behaviour and ensure practical activities follow appropriate health and safety procedures.

• Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and improve student achievement.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.

• Can deliver well-structured and engaging lessons.

• Demonstrates effective classroom management and communication skills.

• Is committed to inspiring students and raising academic achievement.
