A well-established secondary school in Harrow is looking to recruit a Design and Technology Technician to support its practical subject departments. The school offers a broad curriculum and is committed to providing pupils with access to well-maintained equipment and suitable resources for practical learning.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with Design and Technology teachers to prepare materials, equipment and classroom resources for lessons. Responsibilities will include setting up practical activities, maintaining tools and machinery, monitoring stock levels and ensuring workspaces are clean and organised. You will also assist with basic equipment maintenance, manage material storage and ensure that health and safety procedures are followed within workshops and practical teaching areas.

Requirements

The school is looking for someone with an interest in Design and Technology and ideally some previous experience in a workshop, technical or school support role. Practical skills, good organisation and an awareness of workshop safety are important. Candidates with experience supporting resistant materials, product design, food technology or textiles would be considered.
