A welcoming primary academy in Bury is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join its team from January 2027. The school is looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who can build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while preparing pupils for the transition into Key Stage 2.

The Role

  • Take responsibility for a Year 2 class and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.

  • Develop pupils' reading, writing and mathematical skills.

  • Plan creative activities that support learning through practical exploration.

  • Monitor attainment and provide targeted support where needed.

  • Maintain positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1.

  • Creates an inclusive classroom with clear routines and expectations.

  • Can adapt lessons to support pupils with different learning needs.

  • Is committed to supporting children's academic and personal development.
