The Role

The Science Technician will provide practical and technical support to the science department, preparing equipment and resources for lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Responsibilities will include setting up experiments, preparing materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, checking stock levels and ensuring that practical resources are stored appropriately. You will also assist with general laboratory organisation and ensure that health and safety procedures are followed when preparing and handling materials.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have an interest in science and previous experience in a laboratory, school or technical support environment. Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow health and safety procedures are essential. Candidates with relevant scientific qualifications or previous school technician experience will be particularly well suited.
