A comprehensive secondary academy in Peterborough is seeking a PE Teacher for a fixed-term appointment starting in January 2027. The school is looking for a motivated teacher who can deliver high-quality practical lessons, promote participation and support students in developing their physical and personal skills.

The Role

  • Teach PE across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver practical lessons across a range of sports and activities.

  • Develop physical competence, teamwork and tactical understanding.

  • Support assessment and theory-based learning where required.

  • Contribute to fixtures, clubs and wider sporting opportunities.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong PE subject knowledge and practical teaching ability.

  • Can organise lessons safely and inclusively.

  • Encourages resilience, fair play and positive participation.

  • Is available to start in January 2027.

The Environment

The academy aims to make sport and physical activity accessible to all students. The PE department works collaboratively to plan lessons and provide opportunities for students to take part in extracurricular sport.
