Biology Teacher – Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Teach topics including cell biology, genetics, ecology, human biology and disease.

• Plan practical investigations that develop scientific enquiry skills.

• Encourage students to apply biological knowledge to real-world situations.

• Prepare pupils for GCSE Biology examinations and assessments.

• Monitor student attainment and provide regular feedback.

• Differentiate lessons to support learners with varying abilities.

• Maintain safe working practices during laboratory activities.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Science department.
