A secondary academy in King's Lynn is recruiting a Geography Teacher to provide maternity cover from January 2027. The school is seeking an organised and engaging teacher who can deliver a well-sequenced curriculum and support students as they prepare for their GCSE examinations.

The Role

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.

  • Cover human geography, physical processes and environmental challenges.

  • Develop students' fieldwork and geographical enquiry skills.

  • Prepare learners for formal assessments and examinations.

  • Maintain accurate assessment records and provide feedback.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong Geography subject knowledge.

  • Can deliver well-structured lessons with clear learning outcomes.

  • Uses assessment to identify areas for improvement.

  • Is available to begin in January 2027.

The Environment

The academy offers an established humanities department with shared curriculum materials and supportive colleagues. The successful teacher will be supported in maintaining continuity across the maternity-cover period.
