A high-achieving secondary academy in Colchester is seeking an MFL Teacher to join its languages department in January 2027. Applications are welcomed from teachers with French and/or Spanish specialisms who can deliver engaging lessons and motivate students to develop confidence in language learning.

The Role

  • Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4.

  • Develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing.

  • Deliver structured lessons covering grammar and vocabulary.

  • Monitor attainment and support examination preparation.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and cultural enrichment.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong knowledge of at least one modern foreign language.

  • Can motivate learners through varied teaching strategies.

  • Maintains high expectations and positive classroom routines.

  • Values teamwork and ongoing professional development.
