An inclusive secondary school in Dunstable is looking to recruit an RE Teacher to join its humanities team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will help students explore different religious traditions, consider ethical questions and develop the ability to discuss complex issues respectfully.

The Role

  • Teach RE across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver lessons covering world religions, philosophy and ethics.

  • Encourage balanced discussion and independent thinking.

  • Develop students' written evaluation and argument skills.

  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong knowledge of the RE curriculum.

  • Can facilitate respectful and thoughtful classroom discussions.

  • Creates an inclusive learning environment.

  • Is confident working with students of different abilities.
