A forward-looking secondary academy in Bury St Edmunds is looking to appoint a Computer Science Teacher to strengthen its computing provision. The school is seeking a teacher who can deliver practical, engaging lessons and develop students' confidence in programming, computational thinking and digital problem-solving.

The Role

  • Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver programming, algorithms and computer systems topics.

  • Develop students' independent problem-solving skills.

  • Prepare GCSE learners for practical and written assessments.

  • Contribute to computing enrichment and curriculum development.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has confident Computer Science subject knowledge.

  • Can explain programming concepts clearly.

  • Uses practical demonstrations and structured tasks effectively.

  • Is available to start at short notice.
