An established secondary school in Saffron Walden is seeking a passionate History Teacher for September 2027. This opportunity would suit an educator who enjoys developing historical curiosity, encouraging debate and helping students understand how past events have shaped the modern world.

The Role

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with potential sixth-form teaching.

  • Deliver lessons covering significant historical periods and interpretations.

  • Develop source analysis, chronological understanding and extended writing.

  • Prepare students for examination assessments.

  • Support enrichment activities and wider humanities initiatives.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
