Prepare GCSE and A-Level candidates thoroughly for national written examinations using data-driven progress tracking, live modelling, and diagnostic feedback routines.
Embed diverse literary voices, contemporary media texts, and whole-school reading strategies into daily instruction to cultivate inclusive literacy and confidence.
Track, evaluate, and monitor student progress, implementing targeted interventions to stretch high-aspiring scholars while scaffolding writing mechanics for developing learners.
Contribute positively to department enrichment, such as debate clubs, creative writing workshops, national poetry competitions, theatre visits, and book clubs.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.
A strong academic degree in English Literature, English Language, Linguistics, or a closely related discipline.
Proven track record or demonstrated capability of delivering outstanding English instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5/A-Level English teaching experience is highly desirable).
Thorough knowledge of national English examination board specifications (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR) and set text requirements.
Superior classroom presence, exceptional written/verbal communication skills, and an infectious enthusiasm for literature and rhetoric.
