About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will work closely with the school's safeguarding team and senior leadership to manage concerns, maintain accurate records and ensure pupils receive appropriate support. You will be a key point of contact for safeguarding matters, helping to create a safe environment in which every pupil can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to safeguarding concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken promptly.
Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date safeguarding records.
Support the implementation of school safeguarding policies and procedures.
Liaise with parents, carers, staff and external agencies where necessary.
Monitor pupil welfare and identify concerns requiring further intervention.
Provide guidance to colleagues on safeguarding processes and reporting requirements.
Ensure all safeguarding matters are handled sensitively and in line with current guidance.
The Ideal Candidate
Has previous experience in a safeguarding, pastoral or child protection role.
Has a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Is highly organised, proactive and confident working with different stakeholders.
Has a genuine commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children.
