A thriving school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join its team as soon as possible. This is an important opportunity for a compassionate and organised professional to help protect pupils, promote their welfare and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed effectively.

About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the school's safeguarding arrangements, responding to concerns and ensuring that pupils receive appropriate support. You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, families and external agencies to maintain a safe and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to safeguarding concerns and ensure they are reported and escalated appropriately.
Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date safeguarding records.
Support the implementation and monitoring of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Liaise with parents, carers, staff and external agencies where necessary.
Provide guidance to staff on safeguarding processes and reporting procedures.
Monitor pupil welfare and identify concerns that may require further intervention.
Ensure all safeguarding matters are handled sensitively and in line with relevant guidance.
The Ideal Candidate
Has previous experience in a safeguarding, pastoral or child protection role.
Possesses a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
Is highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively.
Has a genuine commitment to promoting the safety and welfare of children.
