About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Economics lessons, helping students understand key concepts such as supply and demand, inflation, market structures, fiscal policy and global economics. You will encourage students to think critically, apply economic theory to current issues and develop the analytical skills needed for further study.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Economics lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching where appropriate.

• Use relevant examples and case studies to bring economic concepts to life.

• Develop students' analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills.

• Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.

• Adapt lessons to support different abilities and learning needs.

• Maintain a positive classroom environment and high expectations for achievement.

• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong subject knowledge in Economics.

• Can explain complex economic concepts clearly and effectively.

• Demonstrates confident classroom management and strong communication skills.

• Is passionate about helping students achieve their academic potential.
