About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and curiosity about the world around them. You will be expected to create an inclusive classroom environment that challenges learners and supports strong academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching where appropriate.

• Teach scientific concepts through a combination of theory, demonstrations and practical investigations.

• Monitor student progress, assess understanding and provide constructive feedback.

• Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities.

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure practical activities follow appropriate safety procedures.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.

• Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.

• Demonstrates confident classroom management and effective communication.

• Is committed to inspiring students and improving academic outcomes.
