Our client is looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join its established department at a popular secondary school in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and understands the importance of developing students' confidence, resilience and problem-solving abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, delivering well-planned lessons that challenge students to develop their understanding and apply mathematical concepts independently. You will be expected to teach a range of topics, including algebra, geometry, statistics, probability and number, while ensuring that lessons are adapted to meet the needs of learners with different abilities.

The department benefits from a collaborative team of teachers, established schemes of work and a wide range of teaching resources. The successful Maths Teacher will work closely with colleagues to monitor progress, review assessment information and implement strategies to raise attainment. There will also be opportunities to support examination preparation, deliver targeted intervention and contribute to the continued development of the Mathematics curriculum.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Maths Teacher with the ability to teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4.

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the secondary Mathematics curriculum.

• Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE.

• Ability to plan engaging and differentiated lessons.

• Experience using assessment to monitor progress and identify learning gaps.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
