An established secondary school in Ely is looking to appoint an MFL Teacher for September 2027. Applications are welcomed from teachers with French or Spanish specialisms who can deliver engaging lessons and help students develop confidence in communicating in another language.

The Role

  • Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4.

  • Develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

  • Deliver structured lessons covering grammar and vocabulary.

  • Monitor progress and support examination preparation.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and language enrichment.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong knowledge of at least one modern foreign language.

  • Can motivate students and encourage active participation.

  • Adapts teaching to meet different learning needs.

  • Is committed to collaborative working and professional development.

The Environment

The school has an established languages department and a commitment to broadening students' academic and cultural experiences. Staff are encouraged to contribute to curriculum development and share effective classroom practice.
