A creative secondary academy in Lowestoft is seeking a passionate Drama Teacher for September 2027. The school is looking for someone who can deliver practical and theoretical lessons, develop students' performance skills and contribute to its wider creative arts provision.

The Role

  • Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver practical sessions in improvisation, performance and characterisation.

  • Develop students' confidence and teamwork.

  • Prepare learners for practical and written assessments.

  • Support productions and extracurricular activities.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong Drama subject knowledge.

  • Can organise practical lessons safely and effectively.

  • Encourages creativity and confident participation.

  • Is keen to contribute to the wider school community.

The Environment

The academy values creative expression and encourages students to participate in opportunities beyond the classroom. The performing arts team works collaboratively to develop curriculum provision and enrichment activities.
