A welcoming secondary academy in Letchworth Garden City is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its established department. The school is looking for someone who can inspire students through literature, develop confident writers and support strong progress across the secondary curriculum.

The Role

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver engaging lessons covering novels, poetry, drama and non-fiction.

  • Develop students' comprehension, analytical writing and examination skills.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and shared resources.

The Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has secure English subject knowledge.

  • Can engage students with different learning needs and abilities.

  • Establishes positive relationships and clear classroom expectations.

  • Is available to begin at short notice.
