A welcoming primary school in Ealing is looking to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs. The school is committed to inclusive education and works hard to ensure every child receives the individual guidance and encouragement needed to make progress.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide targeted support to pupils who require additional assistance. This will involve supporting learning activities, helping pupils remain focused, adapting resources where appropriate and encouraging independence. You may also provide one-to-one or small-group support for children with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties and learning delays.

Requirements

The school is looking for someone who is patient, understanding and confident supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar SEN role would be beneficial. A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping children develop are essential.
