📚 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher or when required.

• Lead whole-class teaching, small-group sessions, and targeted interventions.

• Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and adapt learning activities to meet pupils' individual needs.

• Monitor pupils' progress, assess their understanding, and provide constructive feedback.

• Support pupils who require additional guidance to overcome learning barriers and build confidence.

• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a focused, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Prepare teaching resources and ensure lessons are delivered effectively.

• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent support.

• Follow school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding, behaviour management, and pupil wellbeing.

We're looking for someone who is confident, proactive, and passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.

• HLTA status or an appropriate Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.

• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.

• Experience leading lessons, delivering learning activities, and supporting groups of pupils.

• A good understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching and learning strategies.

• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

• The confidence to work independently and take responsibility for leading classroom activities.

• The ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning abilities and needs.

• A positive, flexible, and collaborative approach.

• The right to work in the UK.

• An Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to complete the required checks.
